PADI Rescue Diver Course

Be Prepared | Save a Life

The PADI Rescue Diver Course will completely change the way you dive. Learn to recognize risks, manage emergencies, and be ready for any situation.

Step 1 - Knowledge Development

Learn how to think like a rescue Diver

During your independent learning, you’ll be introduced to different types of dive emergencies and how to respond to them. Study online using PADI’s eLearning platform and then attend a 1.5-hour knowledge review session with your instructor to consolidate your learning and prepare you for the practical section of the course.

Step 2 - Open Water Training

Apply your knowledge to real diving emergencies

Attend 2 days of open water dive training at Whytecliff Park to develop diver rescue techniques and emergency problem-solving skills. Build your awareness of dangerous situations and practice a range of rescue scenarios that simulate real diving situations.

If you haven’t completed EFR Primary and Secondary Care training within the last 24 months then you will need to do this before you start your PADI Rescue Course - This can be done here with us at Rowand’s Reef.

One of our PADI Emergency First Response instructors will show you how to handle a range of injuries, perform essential first aid, and apply hands-on CPR. You will also receive EpiPen and AED training with our EFR Course.
