Covid-19 Important Update | Store Reopening!

Rowand’s Reef Reopening Plan

A Message To Our Customers.

During these challenging and unprecedented times resulting from the spread of the coronavirus pandemic around the world, we wanted to take the time to inform everyone on the current state of business here at Rowand’s Reef. From the outset let us say that the health, safety, and wellbeing of our staff, clients, family, and friends is our top priority during this time. We will continue to monitor all government communications and stay up to date on all of the latest news and information. As the situation changes and new information becomes available, we will continue to update you through our website and Facebook page.

In light of the Phase Two reopening being underway, we here at Rowand’s Reef wanted to take the time to inform you that we are one of the many businesses that have reopened their doors!

At this time, we are open for business as usual but with some changes and under strict guidelines put forth by WorkSafe BC, Divers Alert Network, and public health officials. These changes are:

  • We continue to suggest online shopping over in store shopping whenever possible.

  • We are asking customers to not come to the store if they have any flu-like symptoms, have traveled outside of Canada in the last 14 days, or have come into contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

  • We are adhering to all of the latest “social distancing” guidelines, staying two meters apart, limiting the number of staff and customers in the store at any one time, and we have created temporary barriers to help promote cooperation.

  • Commonly used doors are being left open to improve ventilation and to reduce hand to surface contact. These doors include the front and back doors as well as the change rooms and the washroom.

  • We have a hand sanitizing station at the front door and we are asking all customers to wash their hands before entering and after leaving the store.

  • The store is being thoroughly cleaned and sanitized every two hours and change rooms, pin pads, and washrooms are being sanitized after every use.

  • In situations where “social distancing” can not be accomplished to its fullest extent we have made gloves and face masks available for use.

  • To help you avoid touching the pin pad we have made wooden sticks available to help you operate the machine. We are also happy to break transactions into tappable portions for purchases over $100.

  • For any deliveries and equipment drop-offs, we are asking that all customers leave the items just inside the back door and to come around to the front for entry. We are doing this because the back half of the store is a bit too cramped to stay two meters apart.

  • We have posted signs with these guidelines written on them around the store.

For more information about what we are doing to prevent the spread of this pandemic we would like to encourage you to review our 9 page in depth WorkSafeBC Covid-19 Safety Plan. We are also more than happy to answer any questions you may have so please, feel free to get in touch with us at any time.

We are doing our best to stay as up to date as possible and we are ready to adapt as the situation changes.

We hope that you all are doing well during these crazy times and we’re looking forward to seeing you in the water!
