Lights utilize 4 AA Alkaline 1.5V batteries and are compliant with 1.2V AA Ni-Mh rechargeable batteries as well. Burn time is 8 hours& first 3 hours at 100%, second 3 hours at 50%.
Built in thermal protection system turns light off when light has been exposed to temperatures over 70º C (this can occur, for instance, when light is used for a prolonged period on land).
